have oracle 9.2.0.1 installed on XP.
I installed forms 6i on th same machine.
When i try to connect to the database with forms 6i,i get this error:
could not resolve service name.
But when i do not give host string name and leave it blank,it gets connected with the database.

I see a lot of connect descriptors in the net80/tnsapi/tnsnames file.
Also there is a listener file.
But forms 6i is a client tool and listener file is a server side file.

You just check your tnsnames.ora files is correct configure for database services names.

post here your tnsnames.ora or services name.
