Hi

I am trying to upgrade Oracle 9i 9.2.0.8 to Oracle 10g 10.2.0.2 on windows xp using database upgrade assistant. At the last step when i click on finish i get below error message

"Cannot create directory '*' possibly due to insufficient permissions. Please provide the directory and try again."

I have created the directories for backing up the database and for sysaux tablespace but still facing this problem. I am not able to understand which other directory i have to create and where? Anybody have faced this issue before please help.

I have attached the snapshot of the same error.

You have all administrator rights on OS ?
means your currently OS have all privileges on all directories.

becuase error message indicate Oracle not able to create directory becuase of insufficient privileges during upgrade process.

Can you please tell me how i can verify if the user thru which i have logged in to the OS is a privileged user to create the directory?

Just connect with Administrator user to OS.
