Hello -

I recently upgraded my Oracle database from 9.2.0.7 to 9.2.0.8. The patchset seemingly applied without problem, and I performed all post-installation tasks as normal. I then applied the October 2007 CPU, and after running utlrp.sql, I continued to get a number of invalid objects. Before applying the patch, there were no errors.

Upon closer examination, all the invalid objects are views that give the error "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist". I rolled back the October 2007 CPU, but that did not solve the problem.

Has anyone experienced this before or might have some suggestions?

In which schema(s) are these objects?

"ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" means either the table does not exist or the user does not have direct access on it.
Investigate which schema owns this/these table/s.

The tables that these views referenced seem no longer to exist in the database. I suppose the patchset dropped the tables and not the views related to them.

These invalid views are actually left over from the Oracle 8i Enterprise Manager, which we upgraded from awhile back.
