While attempting to install EM Grid control on a Solaris local container (virtual zone), the installation hangs the Agent configuration Assistants stage whilst doing the Target Discovery and agent configuration, and eventually produces the SEVERE: OUI-25031 error.
Looking under AGENT_HOME/sysman/logs I found the following:
Errors is emctl.log

AgentStatus.pm:Unknown command encountered
Errors in emdctl.trc
--------------------
Thread-1 WARN http: snmehl_connect: connect failed to (z-oemgrid.lboro.ac.uk:3872): Connection refused (error = 146)
Thread-1 ERROR main: nmectla_agentctl: Error connecting to http://z-oemgrid.lboro.ac.uk:3872/emd/main/. Returning status code 1
Any help would be appreciated
