I’ve just used RMAN to clear down the flash recovery area on one of the servers but although it has cleared down a large part of it it seems to have left some files.
The recovery area had files for days ranging 30-07-2007 to 18-10-2007, RMAN has cleared down to 10-08-2007 but has not gone as far back as 30-07-2007. I was wondering if there is a reason for this that you might be able to explain to me?
I used the following command for the cleardown
RMAN> delete archivelog until time=’sysdate – 1’;
