hello every one

i have oracle 8i and reports 6.0

my problem is to display serial no in a report i.e
i have reports which is genereted as a result of 4 tables join but i also need to display the ser no in the report.now how should i do this?is there any facility in report builder?

one idea can be is that if i know in advance that how many records the join will reterive so i can insert that many serno in a view and display that in the report but how to do that?

plz plz if any one can help to display the ser no

Please, read the OraFAQ Forum Guide, especially a section which suggests you ways to get a quick answer to your question.

One of them is to use the Search facility this Forum offers. It would provide several topics which discussed the same problem. This is one of them.

you can have a count field on unique column in your report ..
