Hi,

i have been asked to create a Oracle database in unix.
I am a beginner in Unix.
please tell me what are unix Kernal Parameters,
What is their Role , in db creation....

The kernel parameter settings are in the installation guide.
man and Google are there to explain you their meaning.

Of course Googling for "Kernal" might not be as successful as Googling for "Kernel"

Why do you present the Unix version (HP-UX, Solaris..) and Oracle DB version and Release?
