Hi,

A few users have been complaining of system slowness, so I checked for space issues in the enterprise manager console, the thing is i'm pretty new to oracle admin, and i'm a bit confused as to what im seeing, for instance, if i look at the tablespaces the temp tablespace shows ar 99.97% used, but if i look at the actual datafile it shows as 0% used, which one is correct? apart from that there is free space in all tablespaces/datafiles.

Can someone explain to me what i'm seeing and why both views are different and also where i might check to find the cause of the system slowness ( if it is an oracle issue )

we are using oracle version 10G and running IFS as our ERP system.

Regards,

Mick.

Don't worry about temp file usage, it is always full this is how Oracle works.
Figures are meaningless.
