Hi gurus,

I am compressing a CSV File. I would like to save it with the time stamp

for example

a.csv to a.0929165745.Z 16 hr:57min:45sec

I am using compress $PM_ARC_DIR/$BASE_INFILE and the Zip file should go to PM_ARC_DIR directory

Can you please help me to do this? Any help on this is very much appreciated.

Thanks

man date
similar to the following:
YYMMDD=`date +%y%m%d`

WHAT in the world does this question or answer have to do with ORACLE?

But the WHOLE site is named ORACLE FAQ's and each forum description (but not technical ones) starts with the word Oracle.
