Issue with AR [message #268442]

Hi Friends,

I have created a combo responsibility and tried using receivables. But it is showing error “The set of books ID in receivables system is not invalid in GL system”

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Copy and paste the error with the error code.
Is it on R12 or 11i?

Hi Vamsi,

Its in 11i only and I am not getting any error code. Just its not allowing me to tansact anything or opening any windows. Its working in Vision Operations. I think we need activate some profile options or something like that.

Please help me??

Still you have not given the exact error.

Is it "is invalid"? When I say exact error messages, please use the same case also.
I think it is

Cross check your SOB in ar_system_parameters and whether it is there in gl_sets_of_books.

Hi Vamis,

I am sorry I am not clear. The error message you have provided is the exact error message I am getting. Kindly let me know how to check "ar_system_parameters". Is this a profile option or...?

Check the profile option 'ORG_ID' value. If it is null then set that value, as your business needs.
Check the SOB attached to that in ar_system_parameters_all table

select set_of_books_id
  from ar_system_parameters_all
 where org_id = <your irg_id>;

Now check whether it is present in gl_sets_of_books table.

I think the profile option ORG_ID hasn't been set in your case.

Hi vamsi,

Below are the errors I am getting when I tried using AR in my systems.

ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
ORA-06512: at "APPS.ARP_STANDARD", line 2240
ORA-20001: APP-AR-11218: The set of books ID in the Receivables system options does not belong to a valid set of books in Oracle General Ledger. Please contact your system administrator.
ORA-06512: at "APPS.ARP_UTIL", line 632

--------------------------------------------------------------
FRM-40735: WHEN-CREATE-RECORD trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06502.

I have mentioned my set of books ID

Set of books ID=7609

When I tried running query for the blow code

select set_of_books_id
from ar_system_parameters_all
where org_id = <your irg_id>; (I tried org id with 7609 and org_id in my system too)

the below error is showing

ORA-00911: invalid character

Please find the attached screenshots for your reference and advise.
