As part of a network security review I have been asked to obtain a copy of the protocol.ora file(oracle net configuration file). But I don't know where to find it??The following parameters must be set to the corresponding values to enable valid node checking. What is valid node checking?
tcp.validnode_checking=YES
tcp.excludednodes={list of IP addresses}
tcp.invited_nodes= {list of IP addresses)

Please can somebody explain what this is all about Embarassed
