Is OCFS meant for only linux or any OS?

OCFS is Oracle Cluster File System regardless any OS.

hi arju,

thanks for the response.

In the oracle doc, it says that ocfs2 is the next generation ocfs for linux..What does it mean?
Do u have any ocfs installation guide for solaris?

thanks for the reply..so, as u said that ocfs supports the OS mentioned by u.

So, it doesn't support the Solaris...Am i right?

one more thing...does it support windows?

OCFS supports both in Solaris and windows as well as any unix platform.

May be ocfs2 will replace ocfs in future with better feature in it.

Check Oracle documentation. Came in 11g.

Hi Michel,

Is there an OCFS version for Windows Server 2003 x64?

I have a 2-node cluster, 10.2.0.3.0, utilizing ASM on the aforementioned O/S. My objective is to have a clustered file-system because a couple of the databases would require exports and I know that some DATAPUMP processes, load balances (spawns) over the both nodes.
