Hi,
We're currently having a problem with printing from our Epson LQ-2070 printer, and was wondering if anyone can help us with this.
The Oracle system we are using is:
1) Oracle 8.0.5 Enterprise
2) Oracle Apps 11.0.28
3) Sun Solaris 2.6 running on Sun E3500
4) HP jetdirect print server
The Scenario is as such:
We use the Epson LQ-2070 printer specifically for printing check through the rear feeder using continuous paper. The check print is done through Oracle Apps, which uses the Epson LQ-1070 print driver which comes with oracle. Up till now, the check size has always been 4 inch in height and has been no problem when printered in batches.
However, recently, the central bank has requested that all checks be made to 3.5 inch in height, and that's where our problem occured. We have modified the checks.rdf report to reflect 3.5 inch in the report, and also modify the Oracle Apps to indicated the correct number of line in height. However, when printing is done, the printer continue to print at 4 inch height, and thus causing the printout to go out of sync with the printed checks paper. Changing the page height in the printer cmos from 4 inch to 3.5 inch caused the print out to do only the first check and skip the rest of the batch.
So as a result, we wonder if there is anyone out there who might have:
1) Oracle 8.0.5 printer driver for Epson LQ-2070 and Epson LQ-2170 which we can get hold of
2) Knows any way we can get the checks to print at 3.5 inch using continuous paper using the Epson LQ-2070 printer
3) Knows any other printer that can replace the Epson LQ-2070 printer for the same job
Thanks.

thanks for ur reply. We called up Epson and require on their printer and they confirm that all their printer that print continuous paper only 4inch and beyond. We change the printer and use another printer that able to print 3inch and beyond. Now it is working fine finally after changing the printer.
