Dears,
I am a new member to this site.
I am planning to write OCA(007) exam by this week end. I would like know following details: Please answer to me.
1) What is the procedure to get an appointment to write exam?
2) Can i take it sitting in my house, paying the fee through CC?
3) If not. What are the authorisation exam centers in Chennai?
5) Are there any discounts currently?

Hi,
You can apply in Oracle Company only. Because if you go through from any third private companies like NIIT, APTECH then you have to spend more money. Right now in oracle giving offer for OCA and OCP. for OCA Rs.2304. only. You have to take DD for any authorized bank like SBI,SCB,ICICI,City Union.etc., then you have to go Oracle Company, Temple Steps,5th Floor, Saidapet, Chennai. DD only enough. If you go with DD, they will register your name and all. If you register this week you can attend coming Septemper 22nd. If anything reply me. i will clear your doubt regarding this.

many thanks for ur valuable information.
oca in the sence(it comprises of 007 and 147). i want to attend 007 only first...
do we need to attend that by going there. or can we take it from home.

hi,
first you have to finish 007 and 047 then you will get OCA and unique id also. If you want to go OCP you have to give that OCA id while taking OCP exam. i hope you cannot take exam from home. But you can take from authorized ceneter like NIIT, APTECH, SQL STAR, Etc., but my suggestion you take in Oracle company itself. If there is no oracle company in your city's then you go alternative source.

no i took 007 2 days back sitting in my house.
there are two more exams like this where u can take it sitting home.
only 147 u have to take it in a prometric centre for OCA developer
