Hi friends:

I beginning to study for the 1Z0-042 exam and I would like to confirm with you what are the basic books for it, free books of
course.

I’m thinking that:
Oracle.Database.10g.Administration.Workshop.I.Student.Guide
is ok in order to begin as novice, what do you think about?

At least, in the last Oracle 9i, I began with Student book, and reinforcing with SQL Reference and I did well.

And as second and support book: OracleŽ Database 2 Day DBA
10g Release 1 (10.1) is ok?

I guess anyone post some question similar but I was looking for and I have not found it.

Thanks a lot for your opinion!
Marcos

If you have your DBA OCP for 9i, you can simply upgrade your OCP through exam 1Z0-040.

There's nothing wrong with your question but I can't tell whether this is a good idea or not. I've told you already what exams I took and what I did to prepare. Look here.

As far as the DBA exams go, I have no experience whatsoever.
