Hi Friends,

on a sun solaris server running oracle 9 I want to increase the SGA.

I have gather these details.

Physical Memory: 3GB = 3 000 000 000 bytes

SQL> show parameter sga_max_size;

NAME VALUE
sga_max_size 605521496

This is an extract of my init file:

sga_max_size=600000000

This means that this parameter (sga_max_size)should be modified?

Also how can i calculate the maximum sga_max_size i can set?

Thank you

Dirish
