Hello Forum

I need to upgrade my database from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.7(solaris 5.9).I will be performing this from my client machine, which is windows(XP).TO run X-windows, I am planing to set display variable. Can anybody help me guide is that enough or do i need to download any software to run X-windows on my machine. Any documentation if anybody have ll be a great help.

I guess no need of editional software you can only use DISPLAY command.

Like
DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0
export DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0

or export DISPLAY=hostname:0.0

You must run a X server like you must run a Java virtual machine to run a Java program.
eXceed works well but is not free.
