Can anyone please recommend an efficient modelling tool for creating an ERD for an oracle database with 393 tables. I am presently using ER/Studio but the layout options take up too much paper. Thanks.

I have been through that route and that's where I found ER/Studio. I wanted something else.

I'm using Sybase Power Designer and it is possible to save models as images and print them in one page.

www.modelright.com will handle that with no issues. Also, it has much better support for Oracle than Power Designer or ER/Studio.

I don't know if you found what you were looking for, but I had a similar problem and ended up writing my own tool. You can download a copy from www.patrickhaston.co.uk/Java/pdm.html (it's free).

Patrick.
