I have tablespace named 'prothoma'. Under it there is only 1 datafile prothoma01.dbf and under it there are about 100 tables . The size of it is about 11 G.Now I first wanna create a tablespace prothoma in which I will mention size 1G+ Autoextend on. And I will import all tables into it.After importing data into it I wanna make autoextend off. Will there create any problem?

-What are the consequences may happen?

You have a tablespace named prothoma and you want to create a new tablespace called prothoma. This cannot be done in Oracle.

Sorry, I put the wrong post. I actually want to say if I make autoextend on and define tablespace size 1 MB. And I imported data in this tablespace. Later when its size grows to 1GB. I , then alter tablespace size to 100M. What will happen then?

A body at rest will stay at rest unless impacted by an external force.

So what problem are you REALLY trying to solve?
