Hi Friends....
Am trying to ftp a file to remote system and i want to check whether the same file has been transfered or not?

How can i compare a file on local sys and remote sys?
I knoe that we can do this with diff command but Can anybody please suggest me syntax for this...

Use MD5 checksum and calculate before and after the transfer.
If they are equal then the transfer is OK.
man md5
