When I tried to create a db in linux using a window-based DB template, I encoutered the ff. errors:
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters.

When I looked into the log file generated, I found out that it looks for adminDBNAMEpfileinit.ora instead of admin/DBNAME/pfile/init.ora.

Is there a possibility to use a window's db template in creating DB in linux server? If so, how?

Why don't you use a Linux template?

We only have a database in windows. It already contains lots of data. We need to clone this database in a Linux machine. So we created a template from that database in windows and try to use it in Linux.

Only Oracle DBCA predefined Linux templates are present in our Linux server.

Is it possible?

Have a look at cloning/duplicate functions in RMAN.
Have a look at export/import utilities.
