Here are the most important questions:
1) what have you done so far?
2) what did you like about that and what not?
Those are the only two questions I ever get in interviews. Most of them don't get past q1.
You should TELL them what you did, what you liked about it, what you thought of the other projects (or school if you have no previous projects). Ask them what they do. Show interest.
If you have previous experience, you're bound to find similarities. Ask about those. Ask how they did that nasty thing that you your previous project-group a month to solve.
Before you know it, you're in.
Most important things:
- know your subject (if not, lists of possible questions are USELESS)
- show interest in the client
- show that you are eager to learn (especially if you are new)
- don't consider yourself 'less' than the interviewee; the interview should be a two-way conversation: they want to see if you fit in and you want to see if you want to fit in.
