Hi listener stops suddenly in any moment every day
here is listener.log file output related with the problem

TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
TNS-12547: TNS:lost contact
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00517: Lost contact
Linux Error: 32: Broken pipe

i start listener again

OS RHEL 4 U4 64 bit
Oracle 10g R2 64 bit

Any suggestion ?

GOOGLE is your friend, but only when you actually use it.
Results 1 - 10 of about 42 for "Linux Error: 32: Broken pipe
Indications are that the listener.log file has hit the 2GB limit.

it was the first thing that i have checked, but it was around 200 Mbtyes

Possibly some other reason it can't write to the file.

( disk full or broken, other process accessing it, etc... )

So I suggest "Have a look at /var/log/messages" and wait if you reply "I have already checked there" or not Wink

Thanks for your help you are correct kernel segmentation fault on process tnslsnr at system logs
But it is worse because segmantaion fault errors hard to solve on posix envoriment
also system has no modification it is suggested system rhel4 u4 64 bit oracle 10g r2 64 bit.
