Hi all,

I tried to install oracle 8.1.7 on windows 2003 64 bit edition, but it is not installed properly.Oracle software is installed fine, But when creating Database it is not...

It is giving an error 'ora-12546 TNS: Permission denied' . I checked all the attributes of the Os files and user rights. Every thing is OK.

What could be the problem for this error. Does windows 2003 64 Bit edition supports oracle 8.1.7 or not.

Kindly advise me.

Regards
Prakash

It means it may or may not work.
It means it may sometimes work and then later fails.
It means you can't do anything with it.
It means You're On Your Own (YOYO).
