When I was testing, I found one question like that:
When you created Dictionary Managed Tablespace without specifying a value for the Next parameter, what should be the size for the second extent allocated to that tablespace?
Please see my uploaded image.
And this is my question:
- I don't know why Oracle Server specifies the default value for Next parameter is 5 data blocks when without specifying. And I tried to search in Oracle documents and my books, however, I did not find.
- If my Oracle db_block_size is to be set as 8K, which is value for this scenario? It is 40K, isn't it?
Thank you for your help!

It says db block size is 2K.
So 5*2K = 10K.
Actually it is surely and old software. Nobody creates a db with 2K block size since many years.
