All,i have a question.

Underlying tables for datadictionary views- Are they all exist in SYS schema ?i did a count(*) and i could see 190 tables under SYS schmea.

Yes there are all in SYS schema, this is the definition of Oracle dictionary.

must be a very old Oracle version Wink
Oracle 10g has more than 600 X$-tables...
