Hi Folks,

Has anyone stumbled across ORA-26744/ORA-26773 errors in Oracle 10g Streams?

I have Schema Level one way Streams setup with a bunch of table level exclusions. The Source and Destination are on two separate boxes, with Oracle EE 10.2.0.3 on RHEL 4 AS Linux x86.

All was running well until I hit the following errors:

ORA-26744: STREAMS capture process "STREAMS_CAPTURE" does not support "OWNER"."TABLE_NAME" because of the following reason:
ORA-26773: Invalid data type for column "malformed redo"

The problem table includes a fixed width CLOB column, which according to Note:238455.1 is supported by streams. Compression is disabled on all tables. I can't determine any reason for the LogMiner to fail me.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Emma

Hi Folks,

FYI: We developed a work around through the Streams Capture rules to exclude the problem table, Streams is running without error.

These errors can be related to Bug 5623403, the patch is available on metalink.

Cheers,
Emma
