error: SQL-3114: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE [message #235344]

Hi Guys,

When I am trying to Test my Reports on the Web from my Application Server, I am getting the following error:

SQL-3114: ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE

My URL is as follows:

http://myAPPserver:7778/reports/rwservlet?destype=cache&desformat=PDF&server=rep_takreeras&report=test.rdf&userid=sco tt/tiger@myDATABASE

I can connect to my DB normally from any other envirnment and even through my Forms but I can't have my reports running on the WEB.

On more thing, Reports Server what does it actually do, I have found that it is set to Reports_Server_Name=rep_takreeras in my reportsConfig.properties file, can I change this if some of my reports are referring to another name??

Help is much appreciated ASAP.

So, what happens when you rename 'sco tt' to 'scott'?

Thanks Littlefoot,

I am not sure if this was the problem as I had tried several other users before, but now it is working fine. I restarted my Application Server and had to force in a way (manually through the console) the Reports Component server REPORTS: rep_takreeras in the AS EM console to startup, now I see that there is a small icon in my bottom right corner of the toolbar showing SMART AGENT, before this icon was showing for few seconds and then disappears.

WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER QUESTION CAN SOMEONE HELP? How can I change the name of the Reports Server or can I configure more than one??
