I am using 10g R2 on Windows 2003. I have the Enterprise Manager database console NOT the grid control. My database has been up for about 3 weeks and I have been accessing the EM web console. Yesterday I configured iSQLPLUS for dba access and was able to access the web database console several times. Today, I cannot access it. I issued emctl start dbconsole and it returned error
OC4J Configuration issue:\Ora10g/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_ServerName.myplace.com_SID not found
I looked in this directory and couldn't find the file it is looking for but I did find the following files but not of them are appended with myplace.com:
OC4j_DBConsole
OC4j_DBConsole_ServerName_SID
OC4j_DBConsole_ServerName.Upgrade
The database is open and I can access it via Sqlplus.
Can anyone help resolve? Does anyone know if this was caused by my configuration of iSQLPlus for dba access as I was able to get into the dbconsole before this. I did put in a tar with Oracle but have been waiting several days for a response.

Hi anyone can help me:
When I do [oracle@localhost bin]# ./emctl start dbconsole
it occured:
OC4J Configuration issue, OC4J_DBConsole_0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1_TSH1 can not find
at the first time I use dbca create a database called TSH1.
It works in http://lai-3i3zv0xtzp8.lan:5500/em
but in the following day, when I do ./emctl start dbconsole
the same error occured. i.e.
OC4J Configuration issue, OC4J_DBConsole_0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1_TSH1 can not find
So I wonder if anyone know how to change the 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1 to lai-3i3zv0xtzp8.lan?
Thanks,
lai
