Hi experts,

I have installed Oracle 9.2.0.7 database on my PC. This is my primary PC to connect to work (I'm a remote worker) through VPN. Since I have more PCs, I also have a router. When I try to connect to the newly installed DB, I get a ORA12535 error. I tried resolving my host name and provided the host IP address (the VPN address....not the local router assigned address) and I am able to login fine. The problem is : every time I restart my PC (or reconnect to my VPN), the VPN assigned IP changes and I'm forced to change this address in the TNSnames file, which is a big annoyance. Is there a way around this? Please advise...

Thank you.
