Hi,
It is showing " No data is currently available" in "Host CPU" & "Active Sessions"
Then you have to wait some minutes becuase it will take time to display any data.

java.lang.Exception: IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused

post your EMOMS.TRC or EMAGENT.TRC files.

Regards
Taj

Hi.

Please find the upload file.

Also i am having another server on solaris with oracle10g. i have just configured that server. now when i have run the command
emctl start dbconsole

it shows the result failed.

when i run "emctl status dbconsole"

it shows the error.

"EM Daemon is not running."

Whether i need to configure OEM, if yes then please provide the steps to configure OEM.

Its very urgent.

Thanks

Gulshan

Hi,
Basically you have to check couple of things
1.
ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
check it out.
http://dbataj.blogspot.com/2007/02/ora-12505.html

2.
IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused
You should check your /etc/hosts file is correctly set.

if above point doesn't help.
then you should configure EM repository.

Hi Taj,

Thanks for your quick response.

I am using putty to access the database and i am using internet explorer on Xp machine for using OEM. I have made following checks both on XP machine as well as on server. My database name and host name is same.

1. I have checked tnsnames.ora file. Here i found that:

SID=abc
SERVICE_NAME=abc.example.com

2. I have checked /etc/hosts file. I have found correct entry in this file.

10.1.1.1 abc

3. i run the command

emctl getemhome

Result: $ORACLE_HOME/abc_abc

Then i have run the command:

emctl status dbconsole

Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control Release 10.2.0.2.0

http://abc:5500/em/console/aboutApplication
EM Daemon is not running.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Logs are generated in directory /software/oracle/product/10.1.0.4/abc_abc/sysman/log

Please suggest.

Thanks

Gulshan
