Hi gurus,

I have windows 2000 server with Oracle 10g database running. I want the same databse migration from Oracle 10g to Oracle 8i version. Actually it is downgrade. The reason is that i have Oracle 10g at my corporate office and oralce 8i is in branch office. The new branch office will have the oracle data equalent from corporate and branch office.

In my branch office i want to use only oralce 8i. Please give the solution.

Thanks,

Mohan Reddy

Plan is:
  • export your 10g db with 8i export binary
  • create your new 8i db with all tablespaces and users
  • import in your 8i db schema per schema (or maybe full if you don't have any new 9i/10g features like undo tablespace)

Regards
Michel
