You will be working at the Primary Data Center for one of the largest Food manufacturers in North America situated in New Brunswick.
Regular Daily Activities
-Verify database availability
-Verify agent availability
-Verify backups ran previous night, manually run any that were missed and resolve overall backup issues
-Review overall storage usage
-Review any new entries in alert log
-Review job/event status in OEM
Note: Most of these activities are either currently performed by OEM, or can be configured within OEM
Monthly Activities
-Provide uptime reports for SLAs
-Review storage usage trends against forecasted capacity
-Review CPU/RAM usage trends against forecasted capacity
-Review performance statistics and tune as required
Other Activities
-Create databases as requested by Supply Chain group (using templates already created)
-Refresh dev/test environments from production based on demand requests from Supply Chain group
-Provide overall Oracle support to Supply Chain group
-Provide on-call support (responding to automated alerts from OEM and calls from Supply Chain on-call group)
