| Oracle Developer suite 6i has been desupported for some time now (Oracle has even ceased the Extended Maintenance Support as of Jan 31th 2007), so has Oracle IDS 9i (Error correction support has ended, no more patches). Even IDS 10g has no longer Error correction support, but it will be supported up to December 31th 2009.

Well said, David.
While we're at it: <rant>is it just me, or has this whole everything-is-possible-if-you-use-java-and-xml created lazy designer/analysts?
More and more I see people that try to outcode Forms' built-ins. Rewrite Forms' query-mechanism, locking mechanism, master-detail etc.
Only the other day someone asked here he needed to insert records when a user pushed a button to exit his Form.
Why can't designers just stick with Forms' default behavior? Why don't developers stand up for that and question the design they are supposed to build?
</rant>
