Hello,

When I place my reports file (Oracle 10g) in a directory that contains one or more spaces, Oracle report server can't find my reports. (He said The report is nog a location c:/program" for example).

I tried to replace a space with %20 but it doesn't work.

How can I fix this problem?

By storing reports into directories which do not have a space in their names.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't know whether there's a clever solution to your problem.

As far as I can tell, you (or customer) will need to meet certain conditions to successfully install and use this product. One of them would be "choose directory with NO spaces in its name" (others might be, for example, "this application requires min. Pentium 3 @500 MHz / 256 MB RAM / 40 GB hard disk" and will not run on "8086 @4.77 MHz / 2 MB RAM / 2 GB hard disk" computer).

Something like "you need to pour diesel fuel into a diesel engine in order to make it work properly".

There, of course, might be answer to your question. Very simple one, indeed, but I don't know it. Let's wait a little bit longer and see. If you, however, find the solution, please post it here.

All I can tell is that - whatever I tried - I couldn't make reports run from a directory whose path had space in it. Therefore, I gave up and stopped fighting windmills, put reports into (for example, on MS Windows) "c:\my_application\reports" directory and that was all.
