Hi..
i have been working has oracle developer..today i want to create a schema in my database....but creating schema is a DBA activity...i don't know anything about DBA activities...what are steps i have to take before going to create schema..please let me know.

Hi
if you are using oracle 9i then
First connect as
sys/oracle@yourservicename as sysdba
yourservicename may be your db name because db name and service
name may be the same.
then at sql prompt
grant dba to abc identified by xyz
where dba is a default role to make your schema a dba
abc is username
xyz is password
