Hi.
I am getting "^[[H^[[J" when i open a file!!

I am running a shell script, o/p i am forwarding to a file. When i open a file in the begging i am getting the above mentioned characters...
please assist me.

Hi.
I am just printing in the shell script...

let us say shell script is abc.sh

i am just doing like ./abc.sh>abc.log

when i open abc.log
i can see those characters.

Hi,

Did you ftp the file from somewhere? If you did ftp in binary mode, you will get junk characters when u open the file in vi editor..

No, i haven't done any FTP.
I my script i just used command "clear", because of that it is creating problem.
I just removed clear then it is coming fine.
Tell me what could be the reason?
