Create SQL File [message #220954]

I am needing dump a table from oracle into a .sql file from visual basic i would like it to create insert statements in the .sql file for the data so it can be imported into another DB, anyone got any ideas on how to do this. the other db is Sqlite so maybe there is another faster way of doing this to.

Hi,
Why you create .sql file just use EXPORT or IMPORT utility.

Export (and Import) utilities would be fine if this another database ("Sqlite", as @jayoung said, and which I'm not sure what exactly is) was an Oracle database. If not, Oracle proprietary Export format will not be recognized by another database's utilities.

Hi,
imported into another DB
Actually OP is not clear for us.
Another DB of Oracle then EXPORT/IMPORT is best option.
Another DB of Other than Oracle DB. then EXPORT/IMPORT is not useful.
