Hi All,
I am relatively new in Oracle Database administration. I was going through the Oracle Concepts - Memory Architecture where I came to know about Granules and v$sga_dynamic_components.
When I queried this view I am able to see Shared Pool, Large Pool and Buffer Cache with granule size of 16MB. However I am not able to see Java Pool and Log Buffer? Can anyone explain the reason behind this?
Java_Pool has been defined in the init parameter file.
Thanks in advance
Sandi

Hi,
Sorry for not including the version. I am on Oracle Enterprise 9.2.0.6.
I have put JAVA_POOL_SIZE in init parameter and the same is getting reflected when I query v$parameter.
I could not understand why it need to be defined in spfile.
SGA_TARGET_SIZE is also set in init file.
Currently I am not using SPFILE.
What did you mean by ASMM??
Can you please elaborate?
Thanks
Sandi
