Hi,

I am on the installation of Oracle 10gR2 in SunOS gecfsprd17 5.10 Generic_118855-19 i86pc i386 i86pc OS

I want to check the Kernel parameters settings.

What is the command to view the same in SUN 5.10 OS.

/usr/sbin/sysdef | grep SEM
/usr/sbin/sysdef | grep SHM

These commands are not working as the OS was SUN 5.10.

Please advice the command to be executed to check the kernel p arameters.

DB: Oracle 10gR2.
OS: Sun Solaris 5.10 i86pc i386 i86pc

Thanks and Regards,
Prashanth

In Sun Environment, use the file /etc/system.
The details are available in oracle documentation.
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/install.102/b28053/toc.htm#BGBGADHE

Just Do a cat on /etc/system
