Hi Frank,
Implemented nightly backup routines which include database exports, disk backup and copying database files to the development server for precautionary measures.
The above one is, one of the reponsibilty, i don't know why taking disk backup's this is necessary ?

Disk backup saves all your operating system files - forms, reports, SQLs, text documents, spreadsheets, pictures, movies, ..., including Oracle files (database + control + redo log + executables + ...).
Is it necessary? Well, would you like to lose your application which has several hundreds of forms and reports? I wouldn't.
