Hi,
When I try to login Oracle Express Instance Manager 6.3.0, I'm having the problem as below:
XPINSMGR-10531: Unable to discover Express Servers for oracle_ofa. ExpSrv630 hosts for Windows NT host please check that the Oracle Express Agent Service is running. For UNIX hosts please check that the Oracle Express Master Daemon is running.
The Oracle Express Server stored at UNIX Sun Sparc 2.6. Why does it occurs? And how should I solve this problem?
Thanks and Urgent!
Regards,
Liz

Hi Rezk,
First launch the EIM, then the Discover Nodes message box will appear.
Please enter the nodes correctly, where the notes is the Oracle Express Server are to be discovered.
Note: You can try your server name.
Without this the rest, could't proceed plus the error message you're having now.
Without Login, It causes the Daemon to be down.
The worse method is you can restore the Oracle Express Server(OES).
Method:
1. Backup the whole folder where you stored you OES. Make sure full folder.
2. Restore the last Oracle Express Server (you can perform full restored to the OES).
3. Restore only the updated OFA db from users db .../oracle/olap/ofa630sa/users/ and extension .../oracle/olap/oes630/esextend/....
taken the backup from No. 1 that you backup. Select only the folders of .../oracle/olap/ofa630sa/users/ and .../oracle/olap/oes630/esextend/....
to get the updated OFA db.
Please do backup before any actions you are going to perform. For your safe purpose.
Thanks
Regards,
Liz
