Hi All

I have a master /transaction report

let say for example emp table and dept table
let say there are some department that do not
have employee on it

How can I show only the department that have enployee
and remove the department without employee from the report


can anybody help me?

If there are two tables involved, query which fetches data from them uses a join. It will, by default, omit departments that do not have employees. But if you use OUTER join, all departments will be displayed.

So, it seems that you used outer join. Have you? If so, don't use it.
