I am migrating my ingres DB to Oracle...
Query is
I have a main table with 50 columns and getting 50,000 records a day.
out of this 50 columns 6 columns gets only 20,000 records a day..
Should i pull this 6 column and build another table which will be updated with trigger when ever reqd or should i keep this
in the main table only.

If the table is already in 3rd Normal form, then leave it alone.
If the table is NOT already in 3rd Normal Form, fire the data architect who designed it.
