Hi,

I am developing an application using JSP's and Oracle 9i.
I have installed Personal Oracle 9i Edition with Port 2030.
For JSPs, i am using Jakarta Tomcat as web server.

So, whenever i run startup.bat of Jakarta it throws an exception as FAILED TO START AT 8080(i.e. default port for tomcat).

When i stops all the services of Oracle then startup.bat gets run and i am able to call my mypage.jsp on IE.

I also tried by starting the Jakarta Server First and then Oracle, but i am unable to resolve this problem.

Even i changed the sequence of path in environment variable by making Jakarta's first and then oracle's.

How can i resolve this problem?

Please give me some guidance so that i am able to proceed in my work.

Thanks in advance.

Jitendra

Please give me some solution.

Oracle uses 8080 for XML DB.
You can change it (see this), or assign Tomcat to another port (to do this you shoould change port attribute of Connector element in server.xml).
