Hi

I am just trying to use Oracle Internet Directory and have configured it properly.

Problem is
I have created Net Service Alias "mygdb" in Oracle Net Manager but i am not able to use it whenever i issue scott/tiger@mygdb it says "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name". In Oracle Directory Servers when i checked cn=services node there was not Net Service Name with name "mygdb".

How can i use this service or what i am missing?

In Sqlnet.ora file also, NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= (LDAP)

Thanks
Chandan Singh

Problem was, i was creating net service under alias node in Oracle Net Manager whereas it has to be created as a sibling of Alias Node. Its working fine now.

Thanks & Regards
