we use Oracle 8.1.7.1.1 on virtual Windows servers
4 instances work fine, a fifth one causes lots of data traffic and processoruse.
with a little tool we see that the service of the "problem-instance" (oracle.exe) permanently opens the files control01.ctl, control02.clt and control03.ctl.
There is a also a heavy dataload on the system.
The data seems not to loaded via an session.
The instance worked much better until a week before and there are no known (!!!) changes on the system
Has anybody any idea how to pin down or solve the problem?

greetings

seems to be dbsnmp. I altered the system to restricted and killed the sbsnmp session, after restart of the instance it works fine again
