hello every1..
my satndby database is working fine .. i have installed oracle 10g R2 on windows server 2003 .. i m trying to run enterprise manager but its not working .. i even tried to create repository using the EMCA batch file but its not creating repository .. i have done the following things ..

i also checked this error which results into a patch code or an error code as EMCA 3456232

please help me ..

hi parekh.

OEM is not running. then first check services.

cmd>set oracle_sid=''
cmd>emctl status dbconsole ( if stop )
cmd>emctl start dbconsole


or if you want to create new repository then first delete old one.

and about ur error. you hitting bug.

Bug 3456232 EMCA may give misleading errors
refer metalink note : 3456232.8

thanks taj ..


but the problem is during the installation of oracle10g i did not create database thru DBCA .. i just took the cold backup of the production database and created standbycontrol file .. i started SQLPLUS and all my databases n tablespaces were fine on standby side ... but during installation it created OEM agents n services ... but its not showing OracleDbConsole service ... so how can i create an OracleDBConsole service ...


please help '

hi parekh.

How to create OracleDBConsole.

first go through below link and perform step by step .

then go through below link and perform step by step.
http://www.dbtips.com/OracleDBConsole_manual_recreation.htm


if production db then try first on test enviourment.

hi there ..
i had already tried out the solutions you provided me ... m still searching for some new solutions ... actually thru DBCA m getting Insufficient Privileges ORA 01031 error wen i try to connect my standby database ...
