"A BLOCKED status means that the instance cannot accept connections."

I guess the trick is to find out why this would be the case. Are there any clues in the listener.log?

i can´t see nothing strange....

The status in the Windows console is started for both (database and listener) and tnsping is ok.

But if i tried to connectme to the database with SQL*PLUS i get the follow message error...

ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress...

I stopped the services and restart the server and i get still the error.... anyone knows why is that??

Greetings
Alex

I´m trying to configure my ORACLE_SID to bdinfra, but when i'm trying to log in i have the error:

TNS: protocol adapter error

I'm doing as follow

c:\ORACLE_HOME\BIN> set ORACLE_SID= BDINFRA ---> THIS IS THE ORACLE SID IN MY TNSNAMES.ORA

AND WHEN I'M TRYING WITH SQL*PLUS (not via cmd) i get the error above shown

Thanks anacedent

forget the error... I have many oracle homes for different products... In windows seems that the last product installation get the control for the oracle_sid... i change it and all works...
