How to reset my user id and password on this FAQ? [message #193855]

When I registered to this forum last year I misspelled my user id, and then I forgot my password and was sent a new one, and I want to reset both uid and pw. If anybody knows how to do it I'll appreciate it.

How should your userid be spelt? Please choose a userid that's not already taken.

PS: You can reset your password yourself.

Thank you, Frank. You will be laughing, but if I take another user id I'll forget it right away Smile

Besides, if I'll take another user id -- and it means
re-registration -- and enter my email I'll get an error message that will tell me that this email belongs to another user:(((

I *think* you didn't understand what Frank wanted to say: he can change your userid and it won't affect other data you used on this Forum. In other words, all posts you wrote as "scerch" will become "Sverch" and that's it. However, you'll have to change you password.

Frank (I hope you'll read this), please please please change scerch to sverch.
And can I use my old password?

Unfortunately I cannot - there is already a "sverch" user on this forum. Any other suggestions? How about "Vera"?

Frank, but "sverch" is me! I used this nick for years. And I like it:)))

However, I understand. If it is not doable I'll change my lovely "sverch" to something else:)
